In 1948 an international conference in Geneva adopted a convention formally establishing IMO (the original name was the Inter-Governmental Maritime Consultative Organization, or IMCO, but the name was changed in 1982 to IMO). IMO is the global standard-setting authority for the safety, security and environmental performance of international shipping.

National Statistical Office (NSO) conducted the first Time Use Survey in India during January – December 2019. The survey measures the participation rate and time spent on paid activities, care activities, unpaid activities, etc.

Present one is the 23rd edition of the summit . It was organised by the Government of Karnataka along with Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society, Karnataka government’s Vision Group on Information Technology, Biotechnology & StartUp, Software Technology Parks of India & MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications.

It is an initiative of E-Committee of Supreme Court along with Department of Justice, Ministry of Law& Justice, Government of India. There is no brick & mortar building of the court. In a trial by Virtual Court, neither litigant shall come to the court nor will the Judge have to sit physically in the court to adjudicate the case.

eVIN aims to support the Government of India’s Universal Immunization Programme by providing real-time information on vaccine stocks and flows, and storage temperatures across all cold chain points in these states. It also aims to strengthen the evidence base for improved policy-making in vaccine delivery, procurement and planning for new antigens in India.
