All India Year-long Prelims Test series (Online and Offline) – 20205 min read

UPSC has been proving time and again the necessity for  a focused and streamlined preparation for Prelims. In the competition of making it to the Mains, aspirants are running behind Test Series programmes which are not in sync with UPSC standards. The questions often disorient preparation and drag the aspirants down to  Institutions way of preparing, which essentially UPSC is trying to break away from.

Most test series in the market today are providing half baked synopsis, which are irrelevant for many of the questions nor do they explore the underlying and alternative dimensions. If the concept behind the question is not thoroughly discussed and instilled in the minds of students, the entire process of testing will remain an incomplete endeavour with no sense of holism. It  leads to mere frustration in the journey of preparation where in, the candidate keeps fighting directionless in the competition, finally making his/her phase of UPSC preparation more of a punishment than a joy.

We acknowledge that Prelims is a major hurdle and even the most experienced candidates face the brunt. If this first hurdle is not cleared, hundreds of hours spent on structuring your Mains answers and building content goes in vain.

With first-hand experience and years of dedication both as aspirants and mentors at various institutes in Delhi & Bangalore, we the Manifest Team have come up with Year Long Prelims Test Series Programme.

Let us break it down for you on why there is a need for a year-long preparation & why we are unique at what we do?

UPSC preliminary by its very nature requires a focused study with a firm grip over the concepts along with a thorough awareness of current developments. These days, the aspect of interdisciplinary questions are taking centre stage. This requires a preparation which is by design, able to handle the aforementioned dynamics of UPSC.

All India Year Long Test Series is designed to handle UPSC prelims

The test series provides for 5 kinds of tests:

  1. Basic NCERT Tests
  2. Sectional Prelims Tests
  3. Revision Tests
  4. Subject Wise Revision Tests (To help you consolidate)
  5. Full Length Simulated Tests (To help you acclimatise to UPSC standards)

These tests will ensure progress from the concept building stage to the stage where you will have the ability to handle more advanced questions. The answer key and a brief synopsis will be provided after each test. Each test will be followed by thorough test discussion on the same day by subject experts (Faculty Themselves). The faculty will not only solidify your understanding of the subject, but also share tricks to tackle tougher questions.

Our syllabus for test series is aligned to the demands of UPSC with emphasis on concept building through our Basic tests – exclusively based on NCERT.

Once the Basic tests are completed, we move to the Sectional Tests. The subject integrated with syllabus is planned in such a way, giving ample time for aspirants to study and revise. We provide an exhaustive list of subtopics to be covered and also a list of standard textbooks and reference books.

The Sectional tests will also include current affairs of that particular period  for students to keep a track and test their current affairs knowledge. The current affairs in this component includes PIB, PRS and The Hindu to ensure comprehensive coverage of all the relevant sources.

The prelims tests are also punctuated with Revision tests, which help the students to revise the topics that have been covered in the previous tests. Re-reading and consolidation forms the most important aspect of UPSC preparation.

In the month of March, we will be providing Subject Wise Revision Module Tests,  which shall make up the third leg of revision for students.

The stage wise tests with division of syllabus in a manner which takes into account the ability of students, helping them to plan their preparation in sync with our test series.

Then comes the Last Leg of the test series. In the month of April, Full length Simulated Tests will be conducted, helping you to get in the groove and be prepared for the final exam.

Along with these tests, there will be Sectional and Full Length CSAT tests. These will help the students get enough practice for the Paper 2 of Prelims.

In total there will be 33 tests of General studies and 8 tests of CSAT

Test Discussions

The tests will be followed by a brief synopsis of the answers which help the aspirants to quickly verify their answers .

The component of test discussion is the one which makes the course stand out. The test discussion will not be a mere discussion on the question given, it will also provide a detailed explanation of all associated concepts. It will also have a clear and succinct explanation of the concepts in multi-dimensions.

The discussion component will show you the clear and unhindered path of progress which can further be tested through the revision tests.

This strategy of discussion will help you better than the unilateral synopsis approach as, the discussion takes place immediately after the tests (on the same day).It will not only help in understanding the concepts, but also in better retention

This method of instruction through discussion has been tried and proved to be very efficient in our previous test series and the satisfaction of Aspirants associated with us stands testimony to this

I’ve been part of the 2019 prelims test series at manifest and my experience with it has been very pleasant to say the least. It is one of the best test series out there in the market with upsc relevant questions. The history, art and culture, polity and environment questions are just brilliant, given that the current part has relevant static linkages which is on the lines of upsc. The discussion which follows the test is unique in the sense that it acts as a repository of knowledge which is otherwise unaccessible to a normal aspirant from standard sources. It’s definitely worth the money.- SHUBHANKAR P, TEST SERIES 2019

Manifest test series had provided wide coverage going more deeper than conventional textbooks, at the same time retaining relevance with the syllabus and trends in upsc exam patterns. Rather than giving explanations through synopsis, the subject teachers themselves take explanation classes post test, the same day. This helped me in clearing my doubts on time and exploring more about unknown topics. They also provide reasons as to why a question is asked in the test and its relevance related to current affairs. The timetable provided is also practical and not an overburdening one, giving enough space for multiple revisions.Overall, it helped me in realigning my preparations to what the exam demands!- AMAL A S, TEST SERIES 2019

We are extending the test series in both offline and online mode. The offline mode of test will be conducted in our centre at Bangalore on the designated day followed by a discussion. The online mode of the test can be taken either on our Web portal or Manifest IAS app (IOS/Android)

We, the Manifest Team will ensure that you are able to bring your best foot forward in your journey towards good results.
