I am Girish Kalagond, secured an All India Rank of 307 in the UPSC CSE 2018. When I failed in first two prelims, I was not knowing how to ace through the first hurdle of UPSC. I was staying in Delhi. That’s when I met Mrutyunjay sir as he had come to Delhi to appear in UPSC interview. He told to solve questions with logic and in multiple iterations which I followed. It comprehensively changed my way of approaching the prelims paper and was successful in prelims in my third attempt. Subsequently I kept in touch with Mrutyunjay sir for mains answer writings and essay reviews. He also gave many tips for personality test. Though I had reached up to interview in my third attempt I wasn’t successful. But I didn’t give up. Again I kept in touch with Mrutyunjay sir. He reviewed my GS test copies, essays with patience and identified my shortcomings. And I modified my answer writings accordingly. Mrutyunjay sir was available for guidance whenever I called him at any time without which it would have been difficult to ensure my name in the final list of UPSC. Thanks a lot sir for consistently assisting me in this arduous journey. I wish all the best for the entire Manifest IAS team.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to team MANIFEST IAS for extending their support and guidance throughout this endearing process. The individual expertise of the faculty members adds to their collective strength. Ranging from approaching the questions, structuring answers, to moral support, the faculty has been highly generous. The environment here is friendly for us, students, to work on our strengths. At Manifest IAS, I was put through stressful mock-interviews, to prepare me for any nature of the actual personality test, addressing the uncertain dynamism that clouds the personality test. I would like to thank Mrutyunjay Sir, Manjunath Sir, Ayush Sir, Basavaraj Sir and Umesh Sir for their guidance and encouraging words. I wish they keep their fresh approach towards UPSC CSE preparation going. Wishing all good luck in this journey towards joining our country’s journey. JAI HIND!
I am very thankful to the Manifest faculty for their help during all stages of my preparation. Mrutyunjay Sir has been very kind to spend time to evaluate my essays and give personalized feedback on how to improve my marks. Discussions with Umesh Sir during Interview helped me understand the process and orient myself according to the requirement. The uniqueness about the faculty in Manifest is their approach towards guiding the aspirants which exactly meets the demand of the exam.
I am grateful to the entire Manifest IAS team for putting efforts so as to ask environment-based questions both opinion and situation based. I had joined the Insights OGP 2018 programme. it is here that I came in contact with Manjunath Sir and Ayush Sir who were faculties in Insights IAS then. I regularly attended their classes especially for History, Polity, Economy and current affairs. Manjunath Sir’s polity and history classes were very organised, coherent, and multidimensional in nature. The excellent flow in the classes helped in consolidation and the class notes were very easy to revise multiple times before the prelims. Similarly, Ayush Sir’s economy classes were full of relevant current affairs related information that were otherwise difficult to find on own from newspapers and other sources. Moreover, his classes kept me informed about different Govt initiatives that allowed me to predict areas from where questions can be asked. Overall, knowledge gained in these classes allowed me to intelligently guess in the Prelims 2018 and also eliminate options.
